Join us this September for the first annual NC Pride Weekend Tour Package in conjunction with the annual NC Pride parade and festival. GLBT visitors and friends can indulge in art, antiques, gardens, gourmet events Festival., and concerts before, during and after our 26th annual NC Pride Parade and
Enjoy the contemporary architecture and plush guest rooms of our host hotel, the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel.
Hosted by Alex Jones of Triangle Travel Service, you and a select group of our community interested in the finer things will be guided to Chapel Hill’s incredible offering of art antiques, food and music and talk with nationally known experts in their respective fields. Have dinner with the new openly gay mayor of Chapel Hill and the openly gay Chief of Police of Carrboro, meet the owner of Southern Season gourmet emporium, attend a live concert of Chopin’s works on a Steinway grand piano, dine in a 1920’s railroad car, and stroll through the largest native plant garden in the Southeast.

Day 1
Friday Sept 24 Arrive in Chapel Hill
12:00PM-3PM Check in at Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel.
3:00PM-4:00PM “Art and Antiques” Talk at Whitehall Villa by nationally known appraiser and antiques dealer David Lindquist
4:00PM-5:00PM “World Coffee” tasting at Café Driade with Scott Conary, Chair of the US Barista championship committee and world coffee judge.
5:00-6:00 PM “Gold, Jewels, and Fire” jewelers workshop demonstration at Goldworks with NC master jeweler Wren Hendrickson
6:30PM-8:00PM Cocktails at Southern Season gourmet market with owner Michael Barefoot.
8:00PM-10:00PM Dinner at The Weathervane at Southern Season (on your own)
10:00PM Chocolate Truffles on the rooftop at The Wine Bar on Franklin Street
Day 2
Saturday Sept 25
9:00AM-10:30AM Brunch at Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel Schulas 347 lounge hosted by the Chapel Hill Convention and Visitors Bureau (included).
10:30AM Transfer to festival grounds at Duke University East Campus
11:00AM-5:00PM NC Pride Festival with speakers, vendors, and entertainment.
1:00PM-2:00PM NC Pride Parade on Main Street
5:00PM Transfer to Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel
8:00PM-10:00PM Dinner at Southern Rail with Chapel Hill Mayor Mark Kleinschmidt and Police Chief Carolyn Hutchison.
Day 3
Sunday Sept 26
10:30AM-11:45AM Brunch at Crooks Corner Café and Bar with Nationally recognized Chef Bill Smith
11:45AM-1:00PM Guided Tour of NC Botanical garden
1:00PM Transfer to Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel
2:30PM-3:30PM Piano concert at Person Hall on UNC campus by Dr Thomas Otten performing the works of Chopin and Schumann
4:00PM Transfer to Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel and check out
